Boys Varsity Basketball Completes the Sweep

The much anticipated Oak Hill boys basketball season got off to an exciting start as the Golden Eagles dominated the Apache winning every quarter, and winning by nearly 40 points! The Golden Eagles came out running and ran the lead up to 21 points at halftime scoring 42 points in the first half then continued the process, finishing with 81 points on the night. Nine different players got into the scoring column for Oak Hill’s balanced attack! Jace Tonagel led the way with 21 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 assists. Freshman, Will Tonagel finished with 15 points, 3 steals, and 2 rebounds. Senior RJ Shugart tallied 14 points, 4 steals and 2 assists. KD Simmons had 12 points and 4 rebounds. Jayden Younce had 6 points, 3 assists and 3 steals. Landon Cruzan had 6 points and 5 assists. Landon Watts had 3 points and 3 assists. Luke Elzinga had 2 points and 7 rebounds. Beckham Lamb had 2 points to round out the scoring. The Golden Eagles return to action this Saturday to try and avenge their final loss of last season at defending state champions Manchester Squires. Come out and cheer these guys on, and enjoy this exciting team!
