It was a tale of 2 halves for the Golden Eagles as they defeated Mississinewa by 23 for the 2nd time this year. It was close throughout in the first half. Will Tonagel scored 18 of his 20 points in the first half helping Oak Hill to a slight 3 point lead at the half. Then in the 2nd half Oak Hill got back to their identity playing smothering defense and limiting the Indians offense. Also, Will handed off most of the offense to brother Jace, as Jace took over offensively in the 3rd quarter scoring 15 of his team high 26 points pacing the Golden Eagles. Jace had 5 assists and 4 rebounds to go along with his scoring as Will had 3 assists and 3 rebounds. Also scoring double digits for the Eagles was Landon Cruz’s with 10. Landon Watts added 7, Jayden Younce with 5, and Solomon Boswell with 2. The Golden Eagles will take on the host Eastbrook Panthers at approximately 8pm tonight for the Grant 4 Tournament.
