The Golden Eagles left no doubt who the better defensive team was tonight coming out and dominating Eastbrook in the first half limiting them to 16 points while scoring 36 themselves to take a 20 point lead at the half, ultimately winning by 17. The damage was done in the first half as the Golden Eagles showed their identity with the tenacious, defensive pressure and turnover ability, then coasting the rest of the game. Freshman Will Tonagel was named tournament MVP for the Grant 4. Will backed up his really good first game leading the Golden Eagles in the championship game with 17 points, 6 steals and 4 assists. Senior RJ Shugart scored 12 points with 2 steals, an assist, and pair of rebounds. Jace Tonagel was next with 11 points, four assist, five rebounds, and four steals for an all-around great game. Both Landon Watts and Landon Cruzan had six points each with Watts pulling down three rebounds and two steals as well. Rounding out the scoring with Luke Elzinga with four points, and five rebounds. And Jayden Younce finished with three points. The Golden Eagles are now your 2025 Grant 4 champs in 8–0 on the season! They will get a well-deserved rest and play again in about a week.
