Wow! What a fun, close game from beginning to end! As close as it was, after starting down 3, the Golden Eagles took the lead 5-3 and never relinquished the lead the rest of the way keeping it at around 4 to 6 points throughout, ultimately winning by 8. Both teams played great defensively which kept the scoring down as the game finished 51-43, well below both averages. Zionsville won the rebound battle with their size 27-19, but the Golden Eagles won the turnover battle 24-12 which was the deciding factor once again! It was a total team victory as multiple players stepped up in multiple ways! Jace Tonagel led the way with 16 points 4 assists and 5 steals. Will Tonagel had 11 points and 2 steals. RJ Shugart had 8 points, a team high 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. Jayden Younce had 6 points and 3 rebounds. KD Simmons had 5 points and 3 rebounds. Landon Watts had 3 points and 4 rebounds. Luke Elzinga finished with 2 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists. The Golden Eagles are 10-0 for the first time in many years! A Big shout out to the Golden Eagles Supporters as they turned out and were loud and proud which helped the boys feed off that energy! The Golden Eagles play next Friday night at Eastbrook for a chance to get  the horseshoe for the conference!
