The girls were simply amazing today at the ECSC Championships in Eastern Hancock. They won convincingly with 393 total points. I cannot begin to express how fast and impressive every single girl looked today. They were ready to swim and it showed. We ended the day with 19 new season best swims. We also took first place in 9 out of the 12 events. More impressive than the first place swims was our depth. We placed all 3 of our swimmers in the top 6 in every swim event. Every girl that swam today had a podium performance. I cannot ask for more than that and I am so very proud of them. Today's breakout swimmer goes to Addison Carey. She was 4 for 4 today with all first place swims. She also broke the 1 minute barrier in her 100 freestyle. Going an impressive 59.65. Quinn Brunner dropped more time in her 500 as she remains in a hot streak to win the conference title. Freshman Sierra Snyder also took home gold in the 100 breaststroke by lowering her season best time by 3 seconds. I also have to give a huge shoutout to Izzy Hernandez, Elayna Cates and Charleigh Nevers. These girls were alternates and stepped in to swim events that they normally don't swim. All they did was get a personal best time and make it on the podium. Incredible work by those alternate swimmers. Way to be a great teammate and step up! I can keep going for each swimmer today, they were all that good. Congratulations ladies on your conference title!
