The Oak Hill 8th grade boys basketball team faced another tough opponent on Wednesday as they played Southern Wells at home in a make-up game from a December 1st snow storm. The Eagles came out sluggish and found themselves in a deficit early. The largest lead of the game for Southern Wells came with under 2 minutes remaining in the second quarter as the score was 22-13 in favor of the visiting Raiders. The Eagles then went on a 34-6 run sparked initially, by a 3 pointer from Grayston Bricker, and cemented by several other key shots down the stretch. Oak Hill eventually won the game 57-31. Leading scorers for the Eagles were Isaiah Miller and Bricker both with 16 points, and both with four 3 pointers made. Naseer Ajamu had 8 points and 5 huge steals. Caleb Clark had 7 points and 8 rebounds (including 4 offensive boards). Hunter Chism had 5 points and 6 boards. Rounding out the scoring were Zane Pierre with 3 and Weston Roth with 2. The Golden Eagles are back in action tomorrow night as they host Maconaquah.
