Boys Swimming and Diving win at Norwell
By Tyler McQuiston | Jan 22, 2026 9:08 PM
The Golden Eagles performed great tonight against the host Norwell Knights. We competed very well and showed a will to win. For this point in the season, season best swims are harder to achieve. It takes effort and a willingness to compete through soreness. We ended up with 11 season best swims and 2 new school records. Congratulations to Cooper McQuiston. He broke the school record in the 200 IM tonight with a time of 2:00.93. He joined his teammates Cael McCann, Braylon Carey and Evan Bledsoe to break the school record in the 400 Free Relay with a time of 3:17.92. Tonight's breakout performance goes to Eli Gardner. He was sick all week and came back to school today. He said he was good to go and swam in 4 races. His effort was good enough for two second place individual performances and key relay splits. Way to be a team player! I was also very proud of our diver Ben Babinski. Ben had a close call and actually hit his chin on the board during a dive. He got right back up and finished the dive meet. Way to show toughness, Ben! And congratulations to all the guys tonight on a very good win! First place finishes: 200 Medley Relay (McCann, Bledsoe, McQuiston, Carey) Evan Bledsoe (200 Free, 100 Breast) Cooper McQuiston (200 IM*, 100 Back) *School Record Cael McCann (50 Free, 100 Fly) Max McQuiston (500 Free) 400 Free Relay (McCann, Carey, Bledsoe, McQuiston) School Record Oak Hill Boys Varsity vs Norwell High School (112 - 68) Win
