The Golden Eagles move to 12-0 on the season as they took down a scrappy Alexandria Tigers team. Both teams were running and playing tuff defense as the Eagles finished the 1st quarter up just two, 11-9. Then the Eagles clicked it into gear winning the 2nd quarter 17-7 taking a 12 point lead and not looking back. Junior, Jace Tonagel needed 17 points coming into tonight to reach 1000 points for his career, and that’s exactly what he got! Awesome! To go along with his 17 points, Jace had 8 assists, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Will Tonagel poured in 15 points, 6 assists and 6 steals. Luke Elzinga had a career high 12 points with 3 rebounds. KD Simmons scored 6 points, with 3 steals and 2 rebounds. Landon Watts had 4 points and 3 rebounds. RJ Shugart had 2 points and 3 rebounds. Jayden Younce had 2 points and 3 rebounds. Rounding out the scoring was Landon Cruzan with 2 points. The #1 (2A) ranked Golden Eagles are now 12-0, on the season! Next up will be at Madison-Grant next Friday, then hosting a very good Lapel team Saturday.
