The Oak Hill 8th grade boys faced a good Blackford team Saturday in the CIC Championship game. This Blackford team beat Oak Hill last year as 7th graders to put them out of the CIC. This year, however, Oak Hill came out with a vengeance and took an early lead. The Eagles led at the half 32-25. The Bruins came out strong in the second half and took a brief lead in the 3rd quarter. The Eagles came storming back and ended up winning the 3rd quarter by a single point and took an 8 point lead into the final frame. The Eagles locked down on defense and didn't allow a single field goal from Blackford in the 4th quarter and came out on top 55-40 to win the CIC Championship and retain the 8th grade CIC travelling trophy. Leading scorer for Oak Hill was Isaiah Miller with 19. Caleb Clark added 11 and Naseer Ajamu had 10. Weston Roth had 7 points, Grayston Bricker had 6 points and Zach Means added 2. The Oak Hill Golden Eagle 8th Grade team finished the season with a record of 21-1 and were Grant 4 and CIC Champions!
