It was a close game throughout and the Golden Eagles had chances to tie it late, but just couldn’t get the ball to go in. Both teams played great defense as the final score was 53-58. Homestead just had more success with a higher percentage of shots going in. Jace Tonagel had 19 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds. KD Simmons had 12 points and 2 rebounds. Will Tonagel had 7 points and 2 rebounds. Jayden Younce had 6 points and 5 rebounds. Luke Elzinga had 5 points and 2 assists. RJ Shugart had 4 points to round out the scoring. The Golden Eagles are now 15-1, and will host Blackford next Friday night. With a win they will be the outright champions of the CIC conference.
