Golden Eagles advance beating host Manchester!

In the first half Manchester came out determined in their defense and caused the Oak Hill some fits. The Golden Eagles struggle to see the ball go through the hoop, but did come away with a 14–10 lead after the first quarter the second quarter was a mirror image of the first but again the Golden Eagles came away with a 14 nine advantage in that quarter to take a nine point lead into halftime. KD Simmons was huge off the bench scoring 12 of his 17 points in that first half to provide the offensive punch for the Eagles. Then in the third quarter the Golden Eagles got back to their style of play and completely blitzed the Squires scoring 35 points in the quarter while holding them to six, and just like that the game was over Jace Tonagel got the quarter started scoring nine straight points. Everybody else jumped on board as well that quarter in route to the huge disparity ultimately the Golden Eagles won by 43 points to advance to the next round Friday night, where they will meet the Lewis Cass Kings. Stats for the game: Jace Tonagel led the way with 19 points, 7 assists, 5 steals and 5 rebounds. KD Simmons had 17 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Landon Cruzan had 14 points off the bench with a huge 3 point shot in the 2nd quarter to give the Eagles some breathing room. Will Tonagel had 8 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Luke Elzinga had 6 points, 3 assists and 2 rebounds. Landon Watts had 6 points, 3 steals, 2 rebounds and 2 assists. Jayden Younce had 8 rebounds and 2 steals. Rounding out the scoring was Beckham Lamb with 3 points.
