The OHTF Lady Eagles wrapped up their 2026 indoor season with a strong effort at Saturday's Hoosier State Relays Indoor State Championships held at the Fall Creek Pavilion located within the Indiana State Fairgrounds. While the Lady Eagles did not place anyone on the All State Podium they did manage to post a New Program Record with 3 additional Top 10 All Time Program marks including 2 Top 5s. The best finish on the day for the Lady Eagles came from the 4x800 Meter Relay of Senior Biruk Travis, Juniors Quinn Brunner and Kora Pond, along with Freshman Cali Myers. The Ladies battled a tough field to finish 13th in an impressive time of 10:19. The time was nearly 20 seconds faster than their seed time and previous season best as well as shattering the old Program Record of 10:35 set in 2013 by Caroline Wickes, Shallen Lenhart, Hunter Begley, and India Ulshafer. Pond would compete in 2 more Top 15 Relays anchoring the 4x200 Meter Relay and 4x400 Meter Relay. The 4x2 relay entered Saturday the slowest entrant ranked 24th but posted a season best 1:52 good enough for 14th overall. The time was the 3rd best in Program History in the event. Joining Pond on the fast relay were Junior Classmates Annie Hale and Lilly Edwards along with Sophomore Taylor Campbell. Edwards and Pond came back to take 15th in the 4x4 with Sophomore Emi Babinski and Bri Dailey. The ladies posted a season best time of 4:22 which is good enough for 5th best in Program History. The Lady Eagled Distance Medley Relay of Brunner, Travis, Myers, and Freshman Shelby Hollingsworth had to adjust their line up due to injury and illness and took 24th overall. In the process still managed to post the 6th best time in Program History. The Lady Eagle's had just 2 Individual State Qualifiers. Dailey did not clear the opening height in High Jump which was set at her season best 5 feet while Brunner opted to scratch out of the 3200 Meter Run in an attempt to help better relays impacted by Spring Break. The Lady Eagles now prepare for the 2026 Outdoor season with their 1st competition Thursday April 9th at Maconaquah.
