Oak Hill High School

The Oak Hill Lady Eagles won their first game of the season tonight beating Marion 4-1. Marion scored their run in the first inning on an error and 1 hit. The Eagles answered back in the second inning with a run of their own. Kalinn Larimore got to first on a hit and stole second base. She advanced to third base after Bella Kenyon hit to the third basemen for the 2nd out. Madi Evans slapped the ball into shallow left for a double and RBI. Oak Hill grabbed another run in the third inning. Jolee Hawkins made it to first on an error and Ericah Emery came in to run for her. She stole 2nd base putting herself into scoring position. Ava David came up to bat and got a single to score Emery. Oak Hill did not score the next couple innings, but put together some good defensive plays. Two big strike-outs for Pathie Speicher and a double play from Ava David at third base. The Eagles scored their last two runs in the bottom of the 6th. Larimore started off the inning with a walk and was moved into scoring position by Ericah Emery on a sacrifice bunt. Madi Evans reached first on an error and scored Ericah E. Becca Cardona had a single to move Evans over to third. Jolee Hawkins hit a hard ball and was able to beat out the throw to score a run. The Eagles held the Giants off in the top of the 7th with three up three down to win the ballgame. Becca Cardona went 2 for 4 with two singles. Pathie Speicher went 2 for 4 with a single and a triple. Kalinn Larimore went 1 for 2 with a hit, walk, and two scored runs. Madi Evans went 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Jolee H. and Ava D. had an RBI each. Pathie Speicher pitched all 7 innings. She had 6 strikeouts and only gave up 2 hits.
