Baseball (Boys V) Defeats Huntington North 7-5

After falling behind 0-5 thru 2 innings, Oak Hill Golden Eagles Varsity baseball rallies to defeat Huntington North 7-5. Kevaunte Simmons started on the mound going 2 innings giving up 5 runs on 2 hits, walking 3, and striking out 2. Austin Neese was first in relief going 2 innings as well giving up 0 hits, walking 3, and striking out 1. Tae'Shawn Inman ultimately gets the win after entering the game in the 5th going 3 innings giving up 2 hits, walking 3 and striking out 3. The Golden Eagles got on the board in the 5th scoring 2 runs on a 2RBI single by Landon Watts (1-3, BB, 3RBI) scoring Jett Ott and RJ Shugart. The Golden Eagles then scored 5 in the 6th to take the lead with Tae'Shawn (1-4, HR, R, RBI) starting off the scoring on a solo HR. An unbelievable bare handed stop on the mound and throw to 1st in the bottom of the 6th by Tae'Shawn ends the 6th. After an excellent defensive play by JJ Faw to start the 7th at SS and then a strikeout a few batters later, the Golden Eagles get a bases loaded flyout to RF Beckham Lamb to end the game. Kayden Kinder (1-2, R, 2BB) and Kyler Thompson (1-2. 2B, BB) also had good days at the plate.
