Oak Hill came from behind in the bottom of the 7th to win it all on a walk-off by Pathie Speicher tonight. The Eagles beat Bluffton 9-8. Oak Hill struggled to string hits together the first couple innings and Bluffton jumped to an 0-4 lead in the 2nd inning after two Oak Hill errors. The girls got one run back in the 3rd inning starting with Brailyn Peterson getting a single. She stole 2nd and 3rd to put herself in a good position to score. Becca Cardona was able to drive her in on a beautiful single up the middle. Oak Hill grabbed two more runs in the 4th inning to make the score 3-4. Kierstin Peterson led off the inning with a hard hit up the middle. Ava David drove her in on a fly ball that tipped off the glove of the left fielder and advanced to third. Ryleigh Myers scored Ava with an RBI single that turned into a double after an errant throw by the 3rd basemen. Bluffton was able to score four runs in the 5th to stretch the lead 3-8. Oak Hill responded with two runs in the 6th. Kora Weller led off with a single up the middle. Ericah Emery came in to pinch run for her. Weller was followed with a single from Brailyn Peterson. Ryleigh Myers singled to load the bases. Jolee Hawkins drew a walk to score a run. Then Pathie Speicher reached first on a fielder's choice and Ryleigh Myers snuck in to score. Going into the bottom of the 7th inning, down 4-8, Oak Hill decided they were not done yet. Kierstin Peterson led off with a double into left center. Kora Weller singled to left. Brailyn Peterson hit a sacrifice fly to score her sister. Ryleigh Myers slapped to the shortstop and scored Emery who was running for Weller. Myers advanced to second on the overthrow. Becca Cardona stepped up and hit a single into right center and scored Ryleigh Myers to tie up the game. Jolee Hawkins hit a single into right to move Cardona into scoring position. Then Pathie Speicher decided to hit a walk off double into the right center gap to end the game. Ryleigh Myers went 4 for 5 with two runs and two RBIs. Becca Cardona went 3 for 4 with two RBIs. Pathie Speicher went 2 for 5 with two RBIs. Kierstin Peterson went 3 for 4 with two runs. Kora Weller went 2 for 4 with two runs. Brailyn Peterson went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run. Pathie Speicher started the game and pitched almost 4 innings. She had 2 strike-outs. Kora Weller had her first win on the mound and pitched over 2 innings. She had 4 strike-outs. Oak Hill returns to play against North Miami Tuesday at 5:30pm.
