Oak Hill High School

It was a high scoring ball game for the Lady Eagles tonight at home against Maconaquah. There were several contributors and the 14-2 win was put together with a team effort. Ryleigh Myers started the game off with a single followed by two stolen bases. Jolee Hawkins drew a walk and then stole second base. After a passed ball scored R. Myers, Kalinn Larimore drew a walk and then on the next pitch stole second. Keirstin Peterson hit a hard ground ball to shortstop who made a throwing error. Hawkins and Larimore scored putting the Eagles up 3-0. The second inning started off with a homerun by Ava David over the left field fence. Brailyn Peterson followed with a ground rule double that bounced over the right center fence. Ryleigh Myers had another single to get on base and Peterson and Myers advanced to second and third on a passed ball. Becca Cardona hit a long single into left center to score two runs. She was followed by another walk by Jolee Hawkins. Kalinn Larimore hit a hard single back at the pitcher to advance to first and load the bases. Then Keirstin Peterson stepped up to the plate and hit a shot over the center field fence for a grand slam! Ericah Emery followed up a solo homerun over the center field fence! Ava David, who had started the inning came back up and hit a solid single into left. Brailyn Peterson followed with a single of her own. Savanah Thurman hit for Myers and hit a shot up the middle to score David. Cardona had another single to score Peterson. Jolee Hawkins reached first on an error. S. Thurman was able to score on a passed ball to make the score 14-0. While Oak Hill did not score in the next 2 innings, there were several productive at bats. The Braves were able to score 2 runs on three errors in the 5th, but the game ended after the third out by the Eagles. R. Myers went 2 for 2 with two runs scored. S. Thurman went 1 for 2 with one run scored and an RBI. B. Cardona went 2 for 3 with one run and three RBIs. Eliza Babinski went 1 for 1. K. Larimore went 1 for 2 with two runs scored and an RBI. K. Peterson went 2 for 3 with one run scored and 6 RBIs. A. David went 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored and an RBI. B. Peterson went 2 for 2 with two runs scored. Pathie Speicher pitched 2 innings for the Eagles and only allowed one hit and had two strikeouts. Kora Weller finished the last 3 innings and had three strikeouts. The Lady Eagles return to play at home, Monday April 20th, against Peru at 5:30pm.
