Baseball (Boys V) Defeats Northwestern 10-6

After losing a 3-2 lead in the 6th inning the Oak Hill Golden Eagles Varsity baseball team defeats Northwestern with a come from behind 3 run 7th inning to force an inning of free baseball and then score 4 in the 8th to seal the win. Kevaunte Simmons started on the mound for the Golden Eagles going 3.1 innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, 5 walks, and 1 strikeout. Austin Neese was first in relief going 1.2 innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits and striking out 1. Tae'Shawn Inman entered the game in the 6th inning and stopped what could have been a big inning for Northwestern with 2 strikeouts giving up only 2 runs. Landon Watts closed the game in the 7th by forcing 3 outs in the first 3 batters he faced (not a save). Offensively the Golden Eagles were lead by Trenner Boswell (3-3, 2B, 2R) and Beckham Lamb (2-5, 2 RBI, 2R).
