The 7th and 8th Grade OHTF Lady Eagles started their 2026 season off Monday night with a pair of solid triangular meet wins over visiting North Miami and Southwood. The 8th graders won by scoring 81 points winning 10 of 13 events. Southwood scored 25 points while North Miami totaled 12. The 7th grade managed to win 7 of 13 events to score 77 points. North Miami did not score in the event while Southwood scored 42 points. The 8th grade was led by 4 Lady Eagles who all won multiple events - Kourtney Volmer, Mileigh Miller, Lucy Devers, and Berklie Hardman. Volmer won all 4 of her events on the night. She won the 100 and 200 Meter Dash races as well as winning the Long Jump and was part of the winning 4x100 Meter Relay along with Hardman, Miller, and Quinn Massey. Miller added 2 more wins in the open 400 Meter Dash and then joined Hardman again on the winning 4x400 Meter Relay along with Felicity Bishop and Allie Tonagel. Devers 2 wins came in the distance events as she won the 1600 Meter Run and the 2400 Meter Run. Verity Bishop joined Devers to earn a clean sweep of the distance events winning the 800 Meter Run. Alaina Smiley was the only multi event winning 7th grader for the Lady Eagles winning the 100 Meter Hurdles, the 200 Meter Dash, and the High Jump. Other event winners for the 7th grade were actually all 6th graders with Brooklynn Bollhoeffer winning the 2400 Meter Run, Lakyn Blair wining the 1600 Meter Run, Calla Ashley winning the Long Jump, and Erika Reno winning the Discus. The JHTF Lady Eagles are back in action twice this week competing at Wabash on Wednesday and traveling to Mississinewa on Thursday.
