Oak Hill High School

The OHTF Lady Eagles split a triangular meet with Eastbrook and host Elwood Tuesday. Eastbrook won the meet with 69.5 points while the Lady Eagles scored 54 with Elwood collecting 21.5. It was the Lady Eagle's 1st loss of the season moving them to 3-1 outdoors. Despite resting a large portion of the varsity group to prepare for the upcoming Oak Hill Relays the Lady Eagles still managed to win 6 of 15 events. Senior Addison Carey and Sophomore Rossi Skinner were multi event winners. Carey individually won the 800 Meter Run while Skinner won the 3200 Meter Run. The pair also combined to be part of the winning 4x800 Meter Relay along with Senior Kaitlyn Scalf and Freshman Izzy Ybarra. Carey added a 2nd place in the 4x400 Meter Relay along with Seniors Audrey Rex and Sophia Rowland along with Freshman Shelby Hollingsworth. Skinner added a 2nd in the 1600 Meter Run. Rex individually won the 400 Meter Dash while Rowland won the High Jump leading a 1-2 finish in the event along with Freshman Eva Tripp. Sophomore Brooklyn Young won the Discus along with a strong 3rd in the Shot Put. Senior Amaia Blades took 3rd in the Discus behind Young. Scalf added a 2nd in the 3200 behind Skinner while the Lady Eagle's 4x100 Meter Relay of Sophomores Haylie Turnpaugh, Riley Archer, and Gabby Nero along with Freshman Brylie Speicher took 2nd as well. The Lady Eagles are back in action this Saturday April 25th when they host the annual Co-Ed Oak Hill Relays.
