OHTF Golden Eagles Split a Triangular Meet Against Eastbrook & Elwood - Leak Wins Multiple Events

The OHTF Golden Eagles split a triangular meet with Eastbrook and host Elwood Tuesday. Eastbrook won the meet with 79 points while the Golden Eagles scored 46.5 with Elwood collecting 29.5. It was the Golden Eagle's 1st loss of the season moving them to 3-1 outdoors. Resting a large portion of the varsity group to prepare for the upcoming Oak Hill Relays the Golden Eagles managed to win just 3 of 15 events. Junior Eli Leak was the only multi-event winner for the Golden Eagles while Sophomore Christian Smiley was the only individual event winner taking the 800 Meter Run. Leak was part of 2 winning relays for the Golden Eagles. The OHTF men started and ended the meet with wins. The 4x800 Meter Relay of Leak, Sophomores Grant Melton and Josh Clark along with Freshman Graham Arrendale won to start the night. Leak then was joined by Sophomores Braylon Carey, Adam Esslinger, and Jacob Morrow to close out the meet with a win in the 4x400 Meter Relay. Clark added a pair of runner up finishes in the 1600 and 3200 Meter Runs. Arrendale took 3rd in both events as well. Freshman Dylan Hardcastle took 2nd in the 300 Meter Hurdles. The Golden Eagle's 4x100 Meter Relay of Sophomores Gavriel Young and Kiegen Phillippe along with Freshman Tayt Bowlin and Junior Rocky Johnson was 2nd as well. Sophomore Noah Wagner took 3rd in the High Jump. The Golden Eagles are back in action this Saturday April 25th when they host the annual Co-Ed Oak Hill Relays.
