JHTF Lady Eagles Win Dual Meet at Mississinewa - Volmer Wins 4 Events & Breaks Long Jump Record

The JHTF Lady Eagles won a Dual meet at Mississinewa Thursday over the host Lady Indians 76-33. It was a combined event that had all 6th-7th-8th graders compete together. In all the girls won 10 of 13 events. The Lady Eagles had 4 multi-event winners on the night. 8th Grader Kourtney Volmer won all 4 of her events, while classmates Mileigh Miller, Berklie Hardman, and Allie Tonagel won 3 and 2 events respectively. Volmer was the individual event winner in the 200 Meter Dash and the Long Jump. In the Long Jump Volmer posted an impressive 15-10 measured Jump which is a New Program record and ranks #1 in the State so far for recorded jumps. Volmer added 2 addition wins in the 4x100 Meter Relay and 4x400 Meter Relay. She was joined on both relays by Miller and Hardman. Quinn Massey was part of the winning 4x1 while Tonagel joined them on the winning 4x4. Volmer actually led a 1st through 8th sweep in the 200 followed in the Top 3 scoring spots by Miller and Massey. Miller won the 100 Meter Dash individually while Tonagel added an individual win in the 400 Meter Dash followed by Hardman for a 1-2 finish. 8th Graders Acelynn Bausch and Alexis Stambaugh won the 1600 Meter Run and Shot Put while 6th Grader Lakyn Blair won the 2400 Meter Run followed by 8th Grader Lucy Devers for a 1-2 finish. The Lady Eagles are back in action next Wednesday April 29th when they host Eastern.
