OHTF Lady Eagles Scored 92 Points to Win a Triangular Meet over Blackford & Madison Grant - Hollingsworth, Keith, Nuber, & Pond Win Multiple Events

The OHTF Lady Eagles moved their record to 11-2 Tuesday with a triangular win over visiting Blackford and Madison Grant. The Lady Eagles scored 92 points after winning 11 of 16 events. The Lady Eagles had 4 events with at least a 1st and 2nd sweep. Madison Grant was 2nd with 31 points while Blackford was 3rd with 28. Seniors Ava Keith and Lexi Nuber along with Junior Kora Pond and Freshman Shelby Hollingsworth lead the way as multi event winners. Keith won the Pole Vault matching her personal best clearing 9-0. Sophomore Callie Nuber set a new personal best of 8-6 to take 3rd. Keith's mark ties her for 2nd best all time in Program History in the event and Nuber moves into a time for 5th All time. Keith then led off the winning 4x100 Meter Relay along with classmate Audrey Rex, Junior Annie Hale, and Sophomore Emi Babinksi. Hale added a 2nd in the 100 Meter Dash. Nuber posted an individual win in the 100 Meter Hurdles while also leading off the winning 4x400 Meter Relay. The relay consisted of Nuber along with Junior Lilly Edwards with Hollingsworth and Freshman classmate Cali Myers. Pond grabbed a pair of individual wins on the night winning the 200 Meter Dash while also setting a new personal best in winning the 400 Meter Dash in 1:01. He time passed former OHTF Assistant Coach Danielle Thompson into 4th All Time in Program History. Pond led a 1-2-3 finish in the event followed by Seniors Biruk Travis and Sophia Rowland who also added a 3rd in High Jump. Junior Lady Eagle Quinn Brunner won the 1600 Meter Run in a new personal best 5:35, a Top 8 All Time mark in Program History. Sophomore Bri Dailey had a strong night as she won the High Jump clearing 5 feet before shutting it down and leading a 1-2-3 finish along with Freshman Eva Tripp and Rowland. She also took 2nd in the Long Jump and 3rd in both the 100 Meter Hurdles and 200 Meter Dash behind Nuber and Pond trying three of the four events for the 1st time in her career. Junior lady Eagle Erika Newhouse won the Long Jump and took 2nd in the 300 Meter Hurdles. Sophomore Lilly Hunt won the 800 Meter Dash leading a 1-2 finish with Myers. The Lady Eagle's 4x800 Meter Relay of Hollingsworth along with Juniors Karsyn Cole and Clarrise Callens as well as Freshman Izzy Ybarra took 1st to start the night off. Sophomore Rossi Skinner added a strong 2nd in the 3200 Meter Run. Senior Addy Carey set a personal best in the 1600 behind Brunner to take 3rd. Senior Kaitlyn Scalf took 3rd in the 3200. Sophomore Brooklyn Young added a 3rd in the Discus. The Lady Eagles host and compete in the Grant 4 Championship this Friday May 1st.
