The JHTF Golden Eagles came within 1 point of wining the 2026 Central Indiana Conference Meet Saturday at Madison Grant. Eastbrook won the event with 116 points with the Golden Eagles totaling 115. The Golden Eagles won 3 Events Saturday all by 8th Grader Brantley Blair and collected Top 3 finishes in 10 events. Blair swept the 3 distance events winning the 1600 Meter Run, 800 Meter Run, and 2400 Meter Run. In doing so he set new meet records in 2 of the 3 Events. He clocked a 4:29 in the 1600 to break the old record by nearly 20 seconds set in 2015. He then came back to better his own meet record in the 2400 which he sent last year. This year he posted a 7:09 bettering the old record by nearly 30 seconds. His personal best in the 800 would have also set a record in that event but he did not go for the record just the win and the points. The Golden Eagles posted 3 additional Top 2 finishes on the day with 8th Graders Evan Smiley and Sam Fern taking Runner Up honors in the 110 Meter Hurdles and the Shot Put respectively. Smiley's classmate Titus Hale took 3rd in the hurdles. Smiley added a 3rd in the Long Jump. The 4x100 Meter Relay took 2nd consisting of Fern along with classmates Isaiah Miller, Zane Pierre, and Levinn Leffingwell. Miller added a 3rd in the High Jump. The 4x400 Meter Relay of Leffingwell and Smiley along with 7th Graders Ellison Beights and Hunter Ramey took 3rd.
