JHTF Golden Eagles Split Triangular with Riverview & Lakeland Christian - 8th Grade Wins (Blair Wins 3 Events), 7th Grade Takes 2nd (Hagan, Roark, Beights Win Multiple Events)

The JHTF Golden Eagles split a pair of triangular meets from visiting Huntington Riverview and Lakleland Christian Monday. The 8th grade won with a score of 56 with Riverview scoring 49 for 2nd and LC 31. In the 7th grade the Golden Eagles took 2nd with 47 points with Riverview winning with 61 and LC scoring 10. The 8th grade was led by Brantley Blair who won 3 events and took 2nd in another. Blair won the 1600 Meter Run and 2400 Meter Run individually while also taking 2nd in the 800 Meter Run coming in behind Colson Woodard. Blair and Woodard combined with Levin Leffingwell and Evan Smiley to win the 4x400 Meter Relay. Smiley added a 2nd in the Long Jump. An additional event win came from Sam Fern in the Shot Put. Fern added a 3rd in the Disc behind teammate and runner up Killian Clark. Zane Pierre took 2nd in the 200 Meter Dash with Isaiah Miller taking runner up honors in the High Jump. The 7th grade had multiple multi-event winners on the night as 6th grader Wesley Hagan won 3 events while 6th grade Ripley Roark and 7th grader Ellison Beights both won 2. Hagan, Roark, and Beights were all part of the winning 4x400 Meter Relay along with 6th grader Caleb Morgan. Hagan also added individual wins in the 1600 Meter Run and 800 Meter Run. Roark individually wont he Long Jump while Beights won the 110 Meter Hurdles while adding a runner up finish in the 400 Meter Dash. The Golden Eagles are back in action Wednesday May 6th when they host Eastbrook.
