The Oak Hill Lady Eagles got a big conference win tonight at Eastbrook in 8 innings. Eastbrook scored one run in the second inning and scored three more in the fifth inning to make the lead 0-4. Oak Hill was hitting the ball, but struggled to hit into gaps to make it on base. That all changed in the top of the 7th inning. It was the last chance for the Eagles to score and keep the game going. Madi Evans led off with a walk and Reagan Rhinebarger came in to run for her. Kierstin Peterson had a nice single to left and she was followed by a single by Ava David. Kora Weller came in to pinch hit and hit a double into left field to score three runs to make the score 3-4. Brailyn Peterson came in to run for her. Becca Cardona hit a blooper that the second basemen dropped to get to first. Kalinn Larimore hit a hard single to left to score the tying run. Eastbrook had a chance to win the game with the last at bat in the bottom of the 7th. They were able to load the bases with no outs, but the Eagles buckled down and made three great plays to survive and advance to the 8th inning. Pathie lead off the 8th inning with a little blooper that dropped over second base. Sierra Snyder came in to run for her. Then Madi Evans roped a double over the first basemen's head to put runners at third and second. Ava David hit a slow roller to the third basemen who threw her out at first, but a run was able to score to make the score 5-4 Oak Hill. The Eagles were able to keep the Panthers from scoring in the bottom of the 8th with the combined effort of the pitcher, Pathie Speicher and her defense behind her. Kalinn Larimore went 1 for 4 with one RBI. Jolee Hawkins went 1 for 3 and she had 3 put outs and 4 assists. Pathie Speicher went 2 for 4 and had 1 put out and 3 assists. M. Evans went 1 for 2 with 11 put outs. K. Peterson went 1 for 4 with one run scored. Ava David went 1 for 4 with one run scored and one RBI. Kora Weller went 1 for 1 and three RBIs. Pathie Speicher pitched a great game against the Panthers. She had 5 strikeouts and one walk. Oak Hill returns to play Friday, May 8th at home against Whitko at 5:30pm.
