The OHXC Lady Eagles are getting closer to full strength and Saturday as a result put together their most complete race of the season to win the 25 School IWU Wildcat Classic "Grey Division" (collection of large and small schools not in the Red Elite Division). In the process the Lady Eagles managed to have 5 individuals earn Top 35 Podium Medals. The Lady Eagles who are currently ranked #8 in Class 2a and entered Saturday on paper as the 3rd of 4th seed scored 100 points to beat a tough Bluffton team who scored 105 points. Logansport was 3rd with 150 points. The Lady Eagles posted a large number of either course bests or lifetime bests on the day with a close gap to win the team title. Lady Eagle Senior Quinn Brunner led the way with a strong Top 10 coming in 9th. Brunner's time of 20:30 was a course all time best a the 11th best time for a Lady Eagle ever on the course. Lady Eagle Juniors Lilly Hunt and Rossi Skinner both had strong days earning medals in 12th and 17th respectively. Like Brunner both also setting career course bests at IWU. The big boost for the Lady Eagles came from a pair of lifetime bests from Sophomore Shelby Hollingsworth and Freshman Lucy Devers who both also grabbed Top 35 Medals finishing 31st and 33rd. Senior Lilly Snyder was 54th while Sophomore Izzy Ybarra rounded out the Varsity Top 7 in 91st. Freshman Brooklyn Young wrapped up the Varsity in 136th. The Lady Eagles compete in the Grant 4 Championship next Saturday September 19th at Mississinewa.
