Varsity Football Defeated Alexandria on Homecoming Friday night, 35-21. Down 14-7 at half, the OH defense came up with a big stop to begin the second half and the offense followed with a game-evening touchdown. The Golden Eagles outscored Alexandria 28-7 in the second half. Offensively, senior quarterback Jett Ott led the way with 146 yards and 2 touchdowns in the air and 134 yards and another touchdown on the ground. Senior fullback Dylan Archer added 85 yards and 2 touchdowns rushing and Senior wide receivers Kevaunte Simmons and Meyer Middlesworth brought in a receiving touchdown. Defensively, Gage Pearce paced the Golden Eagles with 10 tackles and an interception. Adam Esslinger recovered a fumble and the rest of the defense recorded a total of 5 sacks on the night. Back in action next Friday night at Blackford.
