The OHXC Golden Eagles currently ranked #1 in Class 2a looked the part Saturday at Missisinewa in winning their 11th straight Grant 4 Championship. The Golden Eagles scored a near perfect 15 points totaling 18 behind 8 Top 10 All County Athletes. Eastbrook was 2nd with 55 points while Mississinewa took 3rd with 63 and Madison Grant was 4th with 115. Golden Eagle Senior Wyatt Hart was the individual Champion winning on the tough course in a time of 17:06. His time was 44 seconds quicker than his time a year ago on the same course. Hart was the 6th Golden Eagle to win the Grant 4 individual title on the boys side the last 7 seasons. With that OHXC has had at least the boy or girl Grant 4 Individual Champion 23 of the last 25 years. With normal #1 runner Brantley Blair taking the meet off the Golden Eagles grouped up behind Hart to earn 7 more medals. Junior Josh Clark was the Runner Up with classmates Bret Hueston taking 3rd for a 1-2-3 finish. Senior Eli Leak was a strong 5th with Sophomore Graham Arrendale, Junior Gavin Key, Junior Christian Smiley, and Junior Grant Melton coming 7th through 10th for the last All County Spots. Freshman Brekyn Pritchett just missed a medal coming in 11th. Freshman Colson Woodard posted a strong Top 15 as well in 13th. Freshman Keaton Vetor was a Top 20 finisher in 19th. The Golden Eagles compete in the Culver Military Academy Invitational Saturday September 26th.
