OHXC Golden Eagles Take Runner Up Honors at 28 Team Marion Invite - Tippey, Sommers, Brower, Hart All Medal

The OHXC Golden Eagles had their best and most complete showing of the young season Saturday taking 2nd in the 28 Team Marion Invitational held at Indiana Wesleyan. DeMotte Christian scored an impressive 52 points to take the title with the Golden Eagles totaling 133 points to out-pace Northwestern at 167 for 2nd. In all the Golden Eagles had a handful of lifetime best set as well as 4 Top 35 Medalist. Junior Corban Tippey led the way with a 14th place finish followed closely behind by classmate Brayden Sommers who grabbed a medal in 16th. Sophomore classmates Kyle Brower and Wyatt Hart both continued their breakout seasons setting new lifetime best and breaking 18 minutes for the 1st time earning medals in 30th and 32nd place. Lone Golden Eagle Senior Owen Roth had strong day in the 5th man scoring spot setting a new lifetime best by 1 second finishing 45th overall. Sophomore Eli Leak and Freshman Bret Hueston rounded out the Varsity Top 7 in 77th and 83rd respectively. The Golden Eagles are back in action next Saturday September 14th in the Eagle Classic held at Brown County.
