The Boys Varsity Soccer Golden Eagles played a home game tonight and ultimately were able to defeat the Manchester Squires in a 2-0 win. The Eagles started the scoring in the first half with a header goal by Emmett Dorothy off of a corner kick from Luke Elzinga. Manchester had zero shots in the first half of the game. In the second half, the Eagles were able to score again going up 2-0 with a goal by Cameron Aguilar, assisted by Seth David. Collin Kreitzer had one save as goalie in the second half. The Eagles play in the Mount Vernon Invitational on Saturday with a guaranteed two games. The Varsity Eagles play Mount Vernon in the first game.
