Boys Varsity Soccer Eagles play in Marauders Invitational

The Boys Varsity Soccer Team played in the Marauders Invitational at Mount Vernon High School today. This was a small tournament consisting of four teams. Each team played an initial game to see who played in the championship and consolation games later in the day. In Game #1 the Eagles faced Mount Vernon and lost 3-0. They scored one goal in the first half and two goals in the second half against us in the loss. The Eagles then played Bishop Dwenger in Game #2 of the day. Fort Wayne started off with a 1-0 lead in the first half. Luke Elzinga tied the game 1-1 before half time scoring on a penalty kick. The Eagles came out strong in the second half with Noah Thompson scoring a goal assisted by Seth David. Five minutes later, the Eagles found the back of the net again with a goal scored by Cameron Aguilar assisted by Seth David. The Eagles defeated the Saints 3-1 which gives them a record of 3-3-5. The next game is Monday 9/23 vs. Western at home.
