OHXC Golden Eagles Win 9th Straight Grant 4 Championship - Tippey Earns Runner Up Medal. Hart, Brower, Clark All Top 10

The OHXC Golden Eagles put their Top 5 scoring runners in the Top 11 to win their 9th straight Grant 4 Championship Tuesday at Eastbrook. Overall it is the Golden Eagle's 25th Grant 4 Championship the last 26 years. The Golden Eagles outdistanced a young and talented Eastbrook team by 20 points to claim the title. Madison Grant was 3rd with Mississinewa coming in 4th. Junior Corban Tippey led the way battling throughout upfront and coming away with a Runner Up Top 3 Medal. Sophomores Wyatt Hart and Kyle Brower claimed Top 5 finishes in 4th and 5th respectively. Freshman Josh Clark had a strong showing earning Top 10 All County Honors with Tippey, Hart, and Brower by finishing 10th overall. The varsity Top 5 scorers were rounded out by Senior Owen Roth taking a strong 11th. Sophomore Eli Leak and Freshman Brest Hueston rounded out the Varsity Top 7 in 14th and 15th respectively. Freshman Gavin Key was just behind in 16th while classmate Grant Melton earned a Top 20 finish as well. The Golden Eagles compete Saturday September 28th in the Culver Academy Invitational.
