Oak Hill High School

History repeated itself yesterday, as the Oak Hill Lady Eagles traveled to Northwestern to face the Tigers on their home field with the sectional title on the line for the second year in a row. After one half of play, the score was tied 0-0. A few minutes into the second half, Northwestern scored. However, their celebration was short lived as the Eagles answered back with a goal from Madelyn Cheek approximately 40 seconds after Northwestern's goal. Cheek scored off an assist from Erika Newhouse. Later in the half, Landri Hardman found the back of the net off an assist from Newhouse which put the Eagles up 2-1. Despite Northwestern's attempts to tie the game, Oak Hill's defense was able to keep them from scoring. Liz Godfrey had 8 saves in goal. The Lady Eagles will travel to Yorktown on Wednesday evening for the first game of the Regional. Game time is 6pm.
