8th Grade Boys Basketball Wins Grant Four

The Eagles improved to 21-0 with 2 wins today to take home the Grant Four title. Game one was against Mississinewa and the Eagles were up 17-3 after the first quarter and then took a 40-7 lead at half time. They went on to win 61-14. Will Tonagel led the team with 15 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assist and 8 steals. Alex Higdon had 14 points. Soloman Boswell had 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assist. Matthew Lawson had 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals. Logan Westgate 4, Cory Templin 4, Cristian Pavey, and Bentley Wildoner 2 to round out the scoring. The Eagles faced Madison-Grant in the championship game and jumped out to a 26-4 lead and never looked back on the way to a 66-13 win. Higdon led all scores with 30 points on 13-17 shooting. Tonagel had 21 points, 9 assist, and 6 steals. Cullen Lainhart 5, Boswell 4, Westgate 2, Templin 2 and Tanner Martin 2 to round out the scoring. The Eagles travel to Mississinewa on Tuesday at 6:00pm to take on the Indians.
