The Lady Eagle 7th grade basketball team rounded out the Oak Hill dominance at Grant 4 being the 4th Lady Eagle to pull out a Grant 4 championship in 2025. Earlier this month the Lady Eagle Varstiy, JV, and 8th grade came out with Grant 4 victories. The Lady Eagles started their hunt for the Grant 4 in the morning defeating RJ Baskett 11-22. The Lady Eagles tough defense held the Indians scoreless in the first quarter. Their strong defense led to a decisive Grant 4 win. The Lady Eagles were led in scoring by Quinn Massey with 12 points, Allie Tonagel & Kourtney Volmer both added 4 points and Lexie Stambaugh contributed 2 points. The Lady Ealges were led in rebounding by Kourtney Volmer with 5 rebounds and Allie Tonagel pulled down 4. The Lady Eagles started the championship game with a dominating full court press holding Eastbrook to 2 points in the first quarter. The Lady Eagles continued the defensive dominance continued to hold Eastbrook to only 8 points to finish the first half 8-25. In the second half the Lady Eagles held off the advances of the Lady Panthers to end the game 23-34. Top Lady Eagles scorers were Allie Tonagel with 14 pts. and Quinn Massey with 10 pts. The 7th grade Lady Eagles are the 2025 Grant 4 champions. This bring the 7th grade Lady Eagles are now 9-3 on the season. The Lady Eagles are at home against Elwood on Monday, January 27.
