The Golden Eagles started slow down 5-14 after the first quarter, and fought back the rest of the game. They cut it to 17-21 by halftime, and got it down to 1, 37-38 at the end of the 3rd behind Cruzan's 3 - 3 pointers! Then in the fourth RJ Shugart hit a three to take the lead and the Golden Eagles didn't look back as they sealed the deal with free throws in the 4th as Shugart hit 5 of 6, Tonagel 4-4 and Middlesworth 2-2 in the final frame. Scoring for the Eagles: Tonagel with 20, Shugart with 14, Cruzan with 12 on 4 big 3-pointers, Middlesworth with 5, and both Elzinga and Lawson with 2 each. The final score in the big win was 55-45. This marked Coach Kevin Renbarger’s 300th win all here at Oak Hill! The Golden Eagles are now 15-6, and will host Delta this Friday night for senior night.
