The OHTF Lady Eagles won a quad meet Tuesday over host Madison Grant, Blackford, and Faith Christian. Despite resting many athletes in prep for this weekend's Grant 4 Championship the Lady Eagles still managed to score 94 points winning 7 events and taking 2nd place in another 7. In a competitive meet all the way around Faith Christian was 2nd with 62.5 points, while Madison Grant was 3rd with 50.5, and Blackford finished with 35. Lady Eagle Junior Lexi Nuber led the way as she managed to sweep the hurdle events winning both the 100 Meter Hurdles and the 300 Meter Hurdles. Sophomore Erika Newhouse helped Nuber earn a 1-2 sweep in the 300s. Newhouse was also part of the winning 4x800 Meter Relay team consisting of Juniors Addison Carey and Sophia Rowland along with Freshman Rossi Skinner. The Lady Eagles also won the 4x100 Meter Relay. Team members were Seniors Riley Alfandre and Cail Bowlin along with Junior Ava Keith and Sophomore Annie Hale. Senior Lady Eagle Abby Sneed won the Pole Vault while classmate Jennessa Shields won the Disc. Shields also added a 2nd place in the Shot Put. The only other 1st on the night for the Lady Eagles came from Freshman Bri Dailey who won the 400 Meter Dash. Dailey also added a 2nd place in the High Jump. Additional 2nd place finishes for the Lady Eagles were Sophomore Quinn Brunner in the 800 Meter Run as well as Freshmen Lilly Hunt and Emi Babinski in the 1600 Meter Run and 400 behind Dailey. The 4x400 Meter Relay of Hale and Babinski along with Junior Audrey Rex and Sophomore Lilly Edwards also took 2nd. Solid 3rd place finishes on the night came from Skinner in the 3200 Meter Run, Junior Briuk Travis in the 800 Meter Run, and Senior Gwen Thompson in the Shot Put. The Lady Eagles varsity record on the season is now 18-1. They compete in the Grant 4 Championship Friday May 2nd back at Madison Grant.
