Oak Hill High School

The Golden Eagles defeated cross-county rival foe Madison Grant Friday night. On the first possession of the night, Oak Hill scored on a 51 yard run from Beckham Lamb (Sr) and never looked back. Madison-Grant answered with a first quarter touchdown of their own but before the end of the frame Jesse Zwirn (So.) punched in a 40 yard touchdown on the ground. Just before halftime Madison-Grant cut the Oak Hill led to two, 14-12. In the final seconds of the first half, Jesse Zwirn caught a deep pass from Jett Ott (Jr.) and scored his second touchdown of the night to take a 21-12 lead into the lock room. A long touchdown drive to begin the second half made the score 21-20 but a couple for huge defensive stops from the Golden Eagles and a 5 yard touchdown run from Dylan Archer (Jr.) sealed the deal. Quarterback Jett Ott finished the night with 124 yards in the air, while Zwirn led the Oak Hill rushing and passing attacks with 60 yards and 71 yards respectively. The Golden Eagles are back in action next Friday night on the road against Frankton.
