The OHXC Lady Eagles advanced to the IHSAA New Haven Semi State finishing 3rd in Saturday’s Marion Regional behind State ranked Huntington North and Fort Wayne South Side. By finishing in the Top 5 as a team the Lady Eagles advance to their 7th straight Semi State – their 9th in the last 12 seasons. Both marks / streaks are State Bests for schools with enrollment under 650 students. Senior Kinzie Robey was the lone Top 15 finisher for the Lady Eagles finishing 10th in a near personal best time of 19:39 – earning her All Regional Honors. Classmate Selah Jackson just missed the Top 15 finishing 16th in 20:04. Freshmen Leah Highley 20:29, Sadie Wisner 20:30, and Senior Kate Hornocker 20:33 all ran lifetime bests to finish 23rd-24th-26th. Sophomore Emma Bledsoe was 38th in 21:33 just 8 seconds off a personal best and Junior Mallory Cheek rounded out the Top 7 in 57th at 22:42. The Lady Eagles compete Saturday October 24th at Huntington University in the IHSAA New Haven Semi State.
